張萬斌教授分別于1985年和1988年獲華東理工大學學士和碩士學位,于1997年獲日本大阪大學博士學位。1988年至1993年在華東理工大學任助教和講師,1997年至2001年在大阪大學任助理教授,2001年至2003年在三菱化學橫濱綜合研究所任主任研究員。2003年起先後任上海交通大學教授、特聘教授和講席教授,2017年起任上海市手性藥物分子工程重點實驗室主任。


Professor Wanbin Zhang received his BS and MS degrees from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in 1985 and 1988 respectively. From 1993 to 1997, he undertook PhD studies at Osaka University under the supervision of Professor Isao Ikeda. He then worked as an assistant professor at Osaka University until 2001 and then as a research fellow at the Specialty Chemicals Research Centre of the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. Since 2003, he has worked as a professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). In 2013, he was promoted to the position of distinguished professor. Professor Zhang's current research interests include organometallic chemistry, asymmetric catalysis, and pharmaceutical process chemistry.

講座摘要/Abstract:

張萬斌教授長期以來圍繞手性分子精准構建和高效合成這一關鍵科學問題,在新型手性催化劑和高效不對稱催化反應新體系的創制方面開展了系統性的研究工作,本次講座將從以下三個方面給大家做一個總結彙報:

1)基于催化劑分子骨架的角度調控策略,創制了結構獨特的中心手性、軸手性和面手性等三類催化劑,並將其應用于多例高效不對稱催化反應,實現了抗病毒藥物瑞德西韋等手性藥物的高效合成;

2)基于雙手性金屬協同和弱作用力輔助等協同促進策略以提升催化效能,發展了雙手性中心化合物立體發散性合成和豐産金屬不對稱催化氫化等高效不對稱催化反應新體系,解決了這些反應的活性和選擇性精准調控難題;

3)基于在手性催化劑和不對稱催化反應方面的研究成果,開發出不對稱催化氫化和氧化等關鍵技術,解決了青蒿素、薄荷醇等重要手性化合物的産業化合成瓶頸問題,並完成技術轉讓,相關企業已實現500升反應器規模的青蒿素中試合成和年産1000噸薄荷醇的規模化生産。


Professor Wanbin Zhang has been focusing on the key scientific problem of precise construction and efficient synthesis of chiral molecules and carried out systematic research work on the development of new chiral catalysts and novel catalytic asymmetric systems. This lecture will focus on the following three aspects:

1) Based on the angular control strategy of the catalyst framework, three types of catalysts with unique structures, such as central chirality, axial chirality and planar chirality, were synthesized and successfully applied to many efficient catalytic asymmetric reactions, including the asymmetric synthesis of the antiviral drug Remdesivir.

2) Based on the synergistic catalysis strategy of bimetallic corporation and weak bond interaction, new catalytic systems for stereodivergent synthesis and asymmetric hydrogenation with earth-abundant metal catalyst were developed to realize the precise control of the reactivity and selectivity.

3) Based on the achievements in chiral catalyst design and reaction methodology development, key asymmetric hydrogenation and oxidation technologies were developed to solve the bottleneck problem in the industrial synthesis of important chiral compounds such as artemisinin and menthol.
